A Filipino sharing dish, rice noodles flavored with a seafood reduction sauce and crushed chicharron. Caution: most foreigners don’t like this taste. Php 880 nett (about US$ 16).

Route 66 was once a major highway connecting the Midwest to California, serving as a key route for cross-country travelers. Roadside “diners” provided inexpensive and varied food to motorists. With a growing nostalgia for times past, people everywhere are rediscovering the cheerful decor and simple, hearty dishes characteristic of this unique genre of restaurant.
